Quality and Food Safety Policy

The company MARRAS BROS FLOUR MILLS SA within the framework of continuous improvement of its operations and production processes, understanding the significant importance of its activities in ensuring the quality and safety of the products it produces, develops and implements a QUALITY AND FOOD SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM in accordance with the international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 22000, at all stages involving:

a) the procurement, receipt, and trading of raw and auxiliary materials,

b) the production and marketing of the produced flours and special blends for food companies.

 

Furthermore, the company adheres to the specification of the Greek Flour Millers Association (G.F.M.A.) «Greek Milling Flour».

A fundamental principle and commitment of the company's management is to:

• meet the demands of its customers by providing them with high-quality and safe products, including potential sensitive users,

• adhere to national, European, and international legislation as it applies to its products and processes, adjusting to changes as they arise.

Taking into consideration the requirements set by the previous objectives, guided by the effort for continuous improvement, and with the aim of maintaining the trust demonstrated by its customers, MARRAS BROS FLOUR MILLS SA has set the following goals.

Product Quality Objectives

• Providing high-quality products and services to its customers.
• Using modern technological methods in its production processes.
• Systematic monitoring of the external environment regarding technological advancements, customer expectations, and market trends.
• Defining and monitoring performance indicators of processes to continuously improve its image and position in the market and ensure products that are both quality and safe for the consumer.

• Adapting suppliers to the quality and technical specifications set by the company.
• Ensuring effective internal and external communication.
• Continuous communication with its customers and conducting customer satisfaction surveys with the ultimate goal of reducing customer complaints to zero.

Product Safety Objectives

• Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements regarding the safety and hygiene of the produced products.
• Strict adherence to safety specifications for raw, intermediate, and final products.
• Implementation of proper industrial and hygiene practices.
• Use of non-genetically modified raw and auxiliary materials.
• Allocation of all required resources and their continuous improvement to achieve the production and distribution of safe products in the most effective manner.
• Implementation of preventive measures to limit or eliminate potential risks of adulteration and fraud in its products.
